The Dold Window

The centre of three panelled windows in the sanctuary proper on the north side - Unveiled 27 November 1979 by Tony Dold, son of Belle and Melville Dold, in the presence of the Chairman of Council and the President and members of the Old Kingswoodian Club.

The window depicts Jesus sitting at the feet of the rabbis in the Temple asking them questions about the Law. There is no inscription on the window itself but it was commissioned and installed by the Old Kingswoodian Club in loving memory of both Belle and Melville in 1979.

The bronze plaque in the north ambulatory/sanctuary wall records that Melville served the school for 32 years as Chairman of Council and for 52 years in all as a member of this governing body.
