The Matric and Bridging Year Classes of 2017 were presented with their Old Kingswoodian ties during a ceremony after assembly this morning. They were addressed by the President of the OK Club, Warrick Strachan, where he stressed the fact that the wearing of this tie symbolizes a pride for and a responsibility towards Kingswood. He also told this group of Kingswoodians that Kingswood had taught them much and that this would stand them in good stead as they enter life in the “big wide world”. After the address their names were read out and they proceeded to the front of the chapel where they were congratulated and welcomed to the OK Club by the College Head Jon Trafford, the OK Club President Warrick Strachan, the Head of KC Junior Derek Braans and the Head of KC Senior Paul Guthrie. At the conclusion of the tie presentation the Head Prefects Tina Madasa and Hilton Wicks presented a cheque to the Legends Fund that was accepted with thanks by Warrick Strachan.
