Garden of Remembrance
Remember fellow Old Kingswoodians in the Chapel Garden of Remembrance.
At their 40th Reunion celebration in March 2022, the class of 1982 raised funds for the establishment of a Memorial Garden outside the Chapel. Their vision is to have a space on campus where members of the Kingswood community can have a quiet moment to remember those who are no longer with us.
The Garden will stand as a tribute to all Old Kingswoodian’s who have passed, with space for names to be engraved on granite plaques within the garden. We are so humbled by their Kingswoodian spirit and look forward to seeing their vision come to life.
Adding a name to the plaque
If you would like to request a name to be engraved on the plaque to commemorate the life of a class member or loved one who was an Old Kingswoodian, you can:
- Make your purchase via our secure online giving portal (click here).
- Email the Foundation Office with your request at legacy@kingswoodcollege.com
The cost per name is R1000. All proceeds after costs will go towards the preservation of the Kingswood Chapel. Names on the plaque in the Garden of Remembrance appear in order of request date.
Note to South African donors: Kingswood College Trust has Section 18A status as a Public Benefit Organisation. This means that South African taxpayers may be eligible to enjoy a tax deduction from annual taxable income. All donors (including Jubilee Pathway brick purchases) will be issued with a Section 18A tax certificate.
