1st Team Cricket Report:

The Kingswood 1st XI cricket side travelled to Port Elizabeth on Saturday to play Framesby. Kingswood won by 83 runs.

Kingswood won the toss and elected to bat first. The Kingswood top order were under pressure again with wickets falling at regular intervals. Kingswood went to drinks with the score 80/7.

Josh von Holdt (71 not out) and Caleb Daniels (71 not out) batted unbelievably well in a 9th wicket partnership of 155 runs. Both these players showed an incredible amount of maturity in the way they went about rebuilding the innings. Kingswood reached 235/9 after 50 overs.

In reply, Framesby got off to a slow start, with Caleb Daniels dismissing the first two batters in his 2nd over. The Framesby batters continued to play positively. Aidan Meyer (4/21) bowled really well in his 10 over spell and slowed the scoring rate down. Michael Fourie (2/20) picked up the final two wickets as Framesby were bowled out for 152.

Kingswood won by 83 runs.
