The Kingswood Pre-Primary environment encourages a curious and enquiring mind, where learning is not confined to the classroom but extends to every aspect of the daily routine, from art classes to climbing the jungle gym or building an imaginary castle! Our goal is to provide a solid foundation for our pupils in a stimulating, safe and loving environment.  We nurture each child’s attributes and celebrate their individuality, enabling them to build confidence and reach their full potential.

At the end of Gr R we bid farewell to happy, well-adjusted children who are ready to take the next exciting step in their education at the Kingswood College Junior School.

We are also delighted to announce that our school is opening a brand-new class for 2-3 year-old children from Term 2 in 2026. This class has been thoughtfully created to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest pupils. 

At this age, every moment is a learning opportunity. Our approach focuses on holistic development, supporting each child socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. Though a gentle daily rhythm, nurturing routines, and warm, responsive relationships, we aim to help our little ones feel secure and confident. 

Children in this class will learn through play, exploring the world around them through hands-on activities, movement, music, stories, and sensory experiences. Play is how young children make sense of the world, develop language, build friendships, and grow emotionally. Our programme is therefore designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and discovery. 

We place a strong emphasis on emotional development, helping children identify their feelings, build trusting relationships with caregivers, and begin developing important social skills. Our Grade 0000 teacher and support staff will support each child at their own pace, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
