Kingswood is regarded by many as one of the top cricketing schools in South Africa. We are blessed with outstanding training facilities which include 5 cricket fields, 12 turf nets and six indoor nets in our world-class High-Performance Centre. Our cricket programme is very ably led by our full-time, High Performance Cricket coach Mr Murray Ranger and ex Warriors Cricket player Mr Andrew Birch.

Kingswood College has a proud rugby tradition and has always been a school that has punched above its weight. At Kingswood we offer rugby from Grade 1 to Grade 12 with all teams participating in regular fixtures throughout the season. We are working on building a culture in our Rugby Club based on the pillars of Hard Work, Discipline, Humility, Honesty and Enjoyment. We believe that a successful club is built on the positive relationships between players and coaches.

At Kingswood we are blessed with an Olympic-sized, water polo pool situated in a fantastic arena. Our boys and girls attend several top tournaments and festivals around the country. Kingswood produces numerous provincial and national water polo players annually – this is as a result of a great deal of hard work invested by our highly rated coaches.

Netball continues to grow and thrive at Kingswood – we currently are able to field at least 15 teams throughout the season. We are fortunate to have 7 well-surfaced courts and our main playing venue is in our impressive High-Performance Centre. We regularly compete successfully against the top netball schools in the country.

Basketball is a popular sports choice for our pupils as it offers a space for them to come and express themselves in an emotionally and physically demanding sport. It also provides the discipline of being structured, as well as working together using teamwork. Kingswood is very competitive in the provincial league.

Our hockey programme is spearheaded by our full-time Director of Hockey. We are privileged to have astroturf and indoor hockey playing surfaces at our disposal and can field 11 girls’ and 11 boys’ teams every season

In the last decade Kingswood has well and truly established itself as one of the leading squash playing schools in South Africa – regularly qualifying for the Top Schools tournament. Our squash courts are also the envy of many a school.

Tennis is one of Kingswood’s traditional sports. A strong tennis culture exists within the Kingswood community and our children are exposed to coaching of the highest order from as young as six years old.

Every child at Kingswood has the opportunity to develop their swimming prowess to their desired level of expertise and physical potential. Competitive swimmers have the opportunity to and are supported appropriately, should they wish to swim at an elite level. Kingswood boasts a truly impressive 33 x 25m swimming pool.

Athletics at Kingswood has a long and proud inter-Schools history that spans over a century. Our elite athletes have the opportunity to train for the majority of the year and have the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
