The Kingswoodian Club had a wonderful visit to the Southern Cape, visiting George, Plett and Knysna over the weekend of the Chukka Festival

The annual visit to the Southern Cape took place a few weeks ago. Although it was a busy few days, the events were all hugely successfully, and it was wonderful catching up with many familiar as well as new faces!

The trip started off with an Information Session in Plett. Our thanks must extend to the Wales family, who graciously hosted our team for a cocktail function at their home. Further up the road, other members of the Kingswood team enjoyed a beautiful dinner with the George family at Nina’s Restaurant. The evening was spent reminiscing and laughing together, as we celebrated all things Kingswood.

The team came together in Knysna to support the senior boys and girls at the Knysna Chukka Festival. After a day spent on the golf course and around the pools supporting our pupils, the evening was spent enjoying drinks and dinner at the Yacht Club with Joan Lombaard (OK 1985) and her husband Albert Lombaard. It was a wonderful evening spent together with friends and parents of Kingswood. Our special thanks must go to Mark Conyers (OK 1996), who rallied the troops to play golf at the stunning Phezula Golf Course!

We thank all of those who were able to join us, and to those who couldn’t be there – you were missed. We are already looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
