“…Public speaking is the art of giving power to words – to influence, inspire and transform lives…”

Last night our annual Best Speakers Competition was held in the Memorial Chapel. This is a highlight on our calendar for many of our pupils. It is a unique platform where our pupils can express themselves.

The audience members were treated to a variety of topics, some were controversial, and thought-provoking while others were more humorous topics which had the audience and judges laughing in their seats.

Public speaking can be a daunting task, but our pupils did their speeches to great aplomb.

Special mention must be made of the winners:

Prepared 1st place – Jenna Smith (Kirkby)

Prepared 2nd place – Tristan Haller (Chubb)

Unprepared 1st place – Kasonde Mutale (Jacques)

Unprepared 2nd place – Tawanda Nhlapo (Gane)
