The annual Kingswood Golf Day got off to a rather nervous start following the President’s announcement the night before...

The first seven tee-offs did not materialise due to the curfew and four four-balls were cancelled for Covid reasons, but the rest of the day went extremely well despite a rather strong westerly wind. We can’t thank all the players who could come and support us enough.

We had a good field of 204 golfers starting at 05h00 to the last tee off at 14h04 (affiliated and non-affiliated) on the RPAGC which was looking magnificent. Unfortunately, prize-giving had to be cancelled and the bar closed for Covid reasons so all war stories were cut short with no cold beer to celebrate.

Prize winners have been contacted and prizes will be delivered. Our thanks go to all staff and grounds men of the golf club for their friendliness and efficiency. Thanks also go to our helpers Cynthia, Sandy, Bob, Margie, Dave, Aljie and Megan.

Steve Gardner Trophy for Best OK Ind Stableford

Alan Ahuyi40

With apologies to Alan Ahuyi and Hugh Oxenham but Allan was the winner of the Steve Gardiner floating trophy for the OK with the most individual stableford points on the day and not Hugh as was initially announced. Our humblest apologies to these two gentlemen for the error.
