Monday, 20 September 2021 at 19h00 | ZOOM session
Swinging the Lantern
Presenter: Dr Colleen Vassiliou (Kingswood College Head)
No matter what your purpose in life is whether to flourish and thrive in a personal capacity, and/or to make a positive difference in the lives of others, you cannot do any of these unless you look after yourself first. We cannot show the way for others, or ‘swing a shining lantern’, unless we are able to find the light within ourselves to light our own ‘lanterns’ first.
- Attendees will spend the session looking at various areas of wellness.
- Concepts from Positive Psychology will be utilised and unpacked in this talk.
- Attendees will learn about the importance of balance and how you can exercise that balance in your daily lives.
- The concept of ‘Flourish’ by Martin Seligman will also be looked at and explored.
