Kingswood College won the toss and had no hesitation to bat first on a good-looking surface.

Scoring was always going to be tough due to slowness of the outfield. The Kingswood batters were made to work hard by a superb bowling and fielding effort from St Andrew’s.

Kingswood were bowled out for 125 in 50 overs.

Henry Connan top scored with a very well played 33. He was ably supported by Jean Luc Basson and Angus Johns who both scored 20.

In reply, St Andrew’s found scoring to be just as difficult due the incredibly disciplined Kingswood bowling attack and the slow outfield.

Luke Kelly led from the front as he bowled 19 overs picking up 3/28. He was well supported by Angus Johns (2/30) and Matthew Collett (3/27).

Kingswood dismissed St Andrew’s for 103 runs with 10 overs left in the days play.
Kingswood won (on the 1st innings) by 22 runs.
