After two years of not being able to host the annual U13 Co-Ed Hockey Festival we were delighted to once again take to the hockey Astro and welcome schools to our festival.
The festival format lent itself to playing competitive hockey in an environment that promoted collegiality, friendship and camaraderie.
There were 7 schools in the girls’ section of the event and we obtained the following results:
- We beat Victoria Primary 1-0
- We won 2-0 against Stirling
- We lost 2-0 against Hangklip
- We lost 3-1 against Sunridge
- We drew 0-0 with Holy Cross
- We beat DSG B 6-0
The U13 Boys played 5 games and achieved the following results:
- We beat St Andrews U13B 1-0
- We beat Sunridge 1-0
- We won against Stirling U13B 1-0
- We lost to Holy Cross 2-0
- We drew against Port Alfred 0-0
It was wonderful to play in competitive matches again and the standard of the hockey was very high. We look forward to the rest of the season.
