Overheard yesterday morning in the Kingswood College Science Lab:
“I need you to come to my party! This is so cool – You HAVE to come show all my friends”
Yesterday morning our Kingswood Junior Preppies visited the Senior School Science Laboratories for a Science Day demonstration by a number of our Senior School Pupils.
The atmosphere was electric (both metaphorically and physically!) Our Grade 1 to 3s were in awe of the amazing demonstrations being done by some of our Senior School Scientists. Loud explosions, gasps, laughter and elephant toothpaste were but a few of the experiments that were on show.
Our Preppies collaborated with their “teachers” for the morning and collaborated on learning and doing various experiments and scientific facts. Our Senior pupils were natural teachers and made the morning so much fun for the little ones.
We definitely think that there are many budding scientists in the making, and we cannot wait to see what they will learn going forward. We look forward to more collaborations such as these going forward.
