Our U13A Junior Netball and Hockey girls recently went on a sports tour to George where they would play against Holy Cross Primary and Glenwood School.
On Monday, they played two netball matches where they won both games. The first match was against Glenwood and, although we were behind by 6 points at half time, our girls turned it around and we ended up winning 19-16.
By the second match, they had found our rhythm and we defeated Holy Cross 12-7.
On Tuesday, U13A hockey team played Glenwood. It was a tense game and both teams played with gusto. The game ended in a 0-0 draw.
In the second game against Holy Cross our girls lifted their performance and probably played their best hockey all season, eventually winning the game 3-1.
On Wednesday, the group travelled to Storms River, where the girls enjoyed a zipline tour, before heading to Port Elizabeth for our final hockey match against St George’s Preparatory School.
The team battled to adjust to the grass at first, but fought hard and we were perhaps unlucky to go down 2-1.
We congratulate our girls on their stellar end to the winter sporting season.
