The OK Club hit the road, and headed off to the Southern Cape to meet up with OKs, current parents, prospective parents and friends in Plettenberg Bay and Knysna.
The OK Club headed down to the Southern Cape last week, leaving Makhanda on Thursday, 1 February for Plettenberg Bay. There they were hosted by current parent Nicky Wales at her home just outside Plettenberg Bay.
OKs, friends, current parents as well as prospective parents met up for a lovely cocktail evening in the Wales’ home. A wonderful time was had by all, and we thank Nicky and her family for graciously hosting us.
The next stop on the quick Southern Cape visit was Knysna on Friday 2 February. Here, the OK Club was joined by OKs, current parents as well as prospective parents and friends at Simola Golf and Country Estate for a round of golf, followed by drinks and snacks at the club.
This was a wonderful occasion for all, and it was a fantastic opportunity to be together as the broader Kingswood community. Our thanks to Mark Conyers (OK 1996) for assisting us with the organisation of this event.
The final stop for the team was the Knysna Chukka Festival where the Kingswood U13 Girls Waterpolo team was participating, and did exceptionally well.
We thank all those who were able to attend these events – it was wonderful to see you all again. We will be heading to the Western Cape next, from 22-23 February. If you would like to join us, please click here for more details.
