August is Women’s Month and what better way to truly celebrate it than by touching base with a few notable women in our very own Kingswood family. This is the #2 profile in our KC Women’s Month Series.
Today we profile Ms Anita Patrickson, a proud Old Kingswoodian who matriculated in 1999.
Born and raised in South Africa, Anita furthered her studies abroad in London and went on to travel extensively. She is a fashion and celebrity stylist who divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.
Over the years she has styled celebrity covers for a number of fashion magazine covers and worked as an editor at Conde Nast She has dressed numerous celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes and Emma Watson.
In 2018, she launched her own sustainable, custom- sandal studio in Los Angeles, called AMANU. These sandals are custom-made and tailored to each customer’s feet in and around 30 minutes. Each pair is one of a kind and can be bought in-store and online. She now has locations manufacturing and selling these shoes all over the world. including South Africa, the Caribbean and Mexico.
