The 2022 Senior Championship Gala saw some remarkable performances. Find the record list below.
Our Senior Championship Gala was such a wonderful and exciting event this past Tuesday. Our pupils were thrilled to get back to competition and the spirit and enjoyment of the evening was evident. In the pool we witnessed remarkable performances.
Special mention must be made of the following swimmers:
Catherine Williamson
She broke her own in the 100m Open Breastroke record set in 2021 of 1.21.93 Her new time in 2022 is 1.20.79, as well as breaking her own record of .38.78 set in 2021 in the Open 50M Breastroke in a new time of 0.37.94.
She broke the record in the Open 200M Individual Medley in a time of 2.16.17. previous record was held by Tamlyn Price in 2012 in a time of 2.19.00.
Dominique De Jongh
U16 100M Freestyle in a time of 1.03.35 previous record was set in 2010 by Tamlyn Price of 1.5.37.
Open 200M Breastroke in a time of 3.00.10 previous record was Chantal Sinclair 10 2001 in a time of 3.08.40
Lucy Nagel
U14 100 M Individual Medley in a time of 1.12.42 previous record was Sarah Jane Klopstra 2013 in a time of 1.15.45.
U14 100M Backstroke in a time of 1.10.36 previous record was Sarah Jane Klopstra 2013 in a time of 1.16.25.
Open 50 M Backstroke in a time of 0.31.37 previous record was set by Tamlyn Price in 2013 in a time of 0.32.43
Kyle Heyns
U14 100 M Breastroke in a time of 1.21.87 previous record was set by J Woodley in 2009 in a time of 1.26.50.
U14 100 M Individual Medley in a time of 1.06.16 previous record was set by C Henson in 1981 in a time of 1.13.20.
U14 100 M Backstroke in a time of 1.12.36, previous record was set by C Henson in 1982.
U14 100M Freestyle in a time of .58.57.06 previous record set by Jamie Nicholas 1.04.35 in 2011.
Open 400m Freestyle in a time of 4.43.06 previous record set by Calvin Price in 2011 in a time of 4.43.73.
Open 50M Freestyle in a time of 24.53 previous record set by Calvin Price in 2010 in a time of 0.32.69
