Ani Mteto (OK 2013) has just secured a professional rugby contract with the Dallas Jackals for the 2024 Major League Rugby season.

The Dallas Jackals have signed Ani Mteto (OK 2013), utility back, for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 6’1”, 210 pound (95 kg) Ani is from Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), South Africa, and previously played for the NOLA Gold Academy team during the Fall 2022 season in the American Rugby Premiership before getting promoted to the senior squad for the 2023 Major League Rugby season.
Ani graduated from Kingswood College in 2013. He attended Iowa Central Community College from 2017-2018 before transferring to Lindenwood University in 2018 and graduating in 2022. He played rugby at all three institutions and also played with the Kansas City Blues and St Louis Bombers in USA Club Sevens Nationals and with Dallas RFC at the Freetail 7s.
