Stellenbosch Student Gathering:
Old Kingswoodians studying in Stellenbosch gathered for a special get-together—the first of three events held in the Cape Town region over the weekend. About 50 OKs attended the lively evening at Casa Cerveza, a popular student venue on Dorp Street.
The OK Club generously sponsored pizzas and drinks, fueling a night filled with laughter, storytelling, and shared memories! Thank you to Ms Tracy van Molendorff, Head of the Kingswood Senior School for making the trip down, her attendance was met with great enthusiasm, a clear testament to the lasting impact she has made on these young Kingswoodians.
The night concluded on a high note with a spirited rendition of the traditional school war cry, reinforcing the deep bonds of the Kingswood community. It was evident that the renowned Kingswood spirit is alive and thriving in Stellenbosch, and this group of OKs will continue to support and uplift each other in their new environment.

Kingswoodian Club Luncheon:
The Kingswoodian Club hosted a delightful luncheon at Root 44 near Stellenbosch last weekend, providing a wonderful opportunity for our esteemed senior Kingswoodians to reconnect. The venue’s welcoming atmosphere contributed to a warm and engaging gathering, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among attendees.
The event was a testament to the lasting legacy and deep connection this group maintains with Kingswood. It was heartening to witness their keen interest in the school’s ongoing activities, with many staying informed through our social media updates.
A special highlight of the afternoon was the presence of former Head of KC Junior, Midge Hilton-Green (OK 1961), along with his wife, Judy. Adding to the occasion, they were joined by their daughter, Bridie (OK 1989), who was visiting from the United Kingdom. Their attendance was a meaningful reminder of the enduring bonds within the Kingswood community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Wendy Dold (OK 1980) for her efforts in organizing this memorable function. Her dedication ensured that the 32 attendees enjoyed a truly special afternoon of reminiscing and reconnecting.
The Kingswoodian Club remains committed to fostering these valued relationships and looks forward to future gatherings that celebrate our shared heritage.

Cape Town Gathering:
The final leg of the Western Cape visit culminated in a delightful family evening at the picturesque Monterey Estate in Bishops Court, the headquarters of Pam Golding, Cape Town. With its breathtaking setting and ample space for children to play safely, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with camaraderie and shared memories.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our hosts, Pam and Bevin (OK 1982) Hare, who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Their generosity and attention to detail ensured that the gathering was a resounding success. Pam’s catering was an absolute winner.
The evening brought together a group of about 50 Kingswoodians, who were addressed by Senior School Head, Tracy van Molendorff. In her address, she expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable legacy left by those present and their enduring connection to Kingswood.
As the evening unfolded, the spirit of fellowship was unmistakable, laughter and stories flowed freely between generations, reinforcing the strong bonds within the Kingswood community. Excitement for future gatherings was evident, with plans for the next event already taking shape before the night had ended.
It was truly an evening to remember—one that celebrated both the past and the promising future of the Kingswood family.
