Music Teacher

As a leading co-educational independent school, based in Makhanda/ Grahamstown, Kingswood College invites applications for the above post.

Applications are invited for Music Teachers who:

  • Have academic qualifications in music;
  • Are registered with SACE;
  • Have a passion for teaching;
  • Have experience in teaching the IEB syllabus (Grade 4 – 12);
  • Have experience in teaching piano (individual) and accompaniment up to Grade 8 level;
  • Have experience of choral music and directing Preppie and Junior Choirs;
  • Have experience in teaching Grade 1 – Grade 7 Class music;
  • Are creative, innovative, organised and well-motivated;
  • Are computer literate (Google Apps for Education & MS Office) and prepared to engage with 21st Century teaching methodologies;
  • Are willing and competent to contribute and participate in the school’s diverse co-curricular programme;

Members of staff are expected to identify with the values and ethos of the school, as well as our strategic imperative of “Educating for Life”. Members of staff are expected to support the Christian ethos of the school.
