The prizes awarded at Awards Ceremonies that are held each term form part of the formal recognition of pupil achievement at Kingswood College. This award was awarded on the 16th of November 2020 at the Sports Awards Ceremony for the Third Term.
Liam Lacey has been a member of the 1st Boys’ Water Polo team for the past three years and in this time he has earned over 130 caps for Kingswood College.
He has represented Kingswood College at provincial level during 2018. Early this year Liam was selected in the U18 Eastern Cape Water Polo team.
He was selected as a key player in that team being able to play in any outfield position in the team Liam will be continuing to play Water Polo either in Serbia, Hungary or Australia next.
Liam works very hard in the pool pushing his teammates to perform at their best at all times. Not only has Liam represented Kingwood College Water Polo with distinction, he is a natural leader within the team and continues to set a strong example to his peers.
He has also contributed to reffing and coaching other Kingswood College Boys and Girls Junior teams over the last two years. Liam has contributed to the success of the 1st Kingswood Boys’ Water Polo team over the past three years.
Liam Lacey was also selected in the National Co-ed Boys’ Water Polo team selected at the completion of the 2019 National Co-eds Water Polo Tournament.It is a great pleasure to award Liam with Honours for Water Polo.
