The Kingswood First Band provides pupils in Grade 4 -7 with the opportunity to participate in a wind band and learn music from a variety of musical styles.
This band has grown and evolved over the years and is very involved in various concerts in and around the school. Erin and Emily were recently elected as the 2021 First Band Leaders and we look forward to seeing them take the band to new heights this year.
Erin joined Kingswood at the beginning of 2020 and continued with her piano studies. In the third term of last year, she decided to change and take up the euphonium. She has made great strides on the euphonium and we look forward to seeing her develop her talent further this year.
Emily began her musical journey on both the piano and recorder at Kingswood and started French Horn lessons at the beginning of Grade 5 in 2019.
She joined the First Band in 2020 and we are sure that she is excited at the prospects of playing with her fellow band members at concerts as we continue to ease out of lockdown levels. Well done Erin and Emily!
