Two inspiring workshops by inspirational speakers, Peter and Kim van Kets, on preparing to adapt and thrive in a dynamic world and taking on any challenge.
You don’t get a more dynamic couple than Peter and Kim van Kets. Peter van Kets is one of the world’s top extreme endurance adventurers and international conference speakers. Kim van Kets is currently self-employed as a legal consultant/ corporate trainer, mediator, freelance writer, published author and inspirational business speaker. She is also an endurance athlete and adventurer best known for my “Tri the Beloved Country” Expedition.
Kingswood is lucky enough to have both Kim and Peter visiting to take pupils and staff through a series of inspirational talks and workshops to kick off the Spring Term.
While on campus Peter will be hosting a dinner and talk on Saturday evening on the 28th followed by two workshops run by both of them on Sunday the 29th of August – both of which are open to the public.

Kim grew up in the rural areas of the Eastern Cape, studied law at Stellenbosch University, was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of RSA and spent many years in legal practice and the corporate world. She is currently self-employed as a legal consultant/ corporate trainer, mediator, freelance writer, published author and inspirational business speaker.
After doing all the usual ultras like Comrades and 2 Oceans, she discovered trail running and became addicted to the solitude and beauty of the sport. Since then she has taken part in numerous multi-day ultra-distance trail and Adventure races all over the world and won some of them. She is best known for her “Tri the Beloved Country” Expedition which involved a self-powered 6 772 km circumnavigation of South Africa on foot, bike, and kayak in 148 days.
Peter van Kets is one of South Africa’s top adventurers who shares the lessons he’s learnt as an international keynote speaker and story teller. Globally known as a specialist around business’ ability to persevere in a turbulent and harsh economy, Peter has worked with major corporations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, China and the USA. Taking the lessons learnt from his expeditions, he inspires audiences with stories about survival, courage, perseverance, passion, loneliness, tenacity, grit, amazing teamwork and the will to win. His presentations take people on powerful, life-altering journeys, changing the way they think about themselves and their businesses.
