Thank you to the Hartzenberg family for presenting Kingswood with the Hartzenberg Inter House Cricket Trophy which will be presented to the winners of the interhouse cricket competition each year.
The main photo shows Mr Neil Hartzenberg handing over the Hartzenberg Inter House Cricket Trophy to Mr Murrray Ranger (Director of Cricket) and Mr Andrew Birch (Hight Performance Coach: Cricket)
The trophy is in honour of Mr Tommy Hartzenberg, Mr Neil Hartzenberg and Mr William Hartzenberg.
The Hartzenberg family certainly needs no introduction to Old Kingswoodians. Uncle Tommy, as he was fondly known, contributed much to Kingswood during a lifetime of service. He was very involved with cricket at Kingswood both at a coaching and managerial level. His eldest son Neil, represented KC 1st X1 for a couple of years, captaining the team in 1974. He was also actively involved with coaching and administration of cricket during his years on the Kingswood staff. Neil’s eldest son William also represented the KC 1st X1 with great distinction, so there can be no doubt that the Hartzenberg men contributed hugely to cricket at Kingswood.
Thank you Neil for presenting this trophy on behalf of your family, as well as your collective contributions to the sport at the school.
The first winners of the trophy – Gane House!
