The Midlands Branch of the Kingswoodian Club gathered in Cathcart over the weekend for the annual Kingswood Cathcart Golf Day – a special occasion that culminated in a thoroughly enjoyable day and evening spent together.
The Kingswood Cathcart Golf Day remains a firm favourite on the Kingswoodian Club calendar – and this year was no exception. Over 30 golfers took to the course with a midday shotgun start, enjoying a good afternoon of golf in near-perfect conditions.
In the evening, more than 70 guests gathered at the clubhouse to watch the Springboks and Baby Boks in action. A hearty meal was enjoyed by all, with thanks to the Miller family for generously donating the steaks. With friends, families, and Old Kingswoodians gathered under one roof, it was a wonderful evening of storytelling and Kingswood camaraderie!
Our sincerest thanks must go to College Head, Leon Grove, and Junior School Head, Carissa Wilson, for joining the Midlands Branch for this much-loved event. A special word of thanks to Ian Sheard for running the prize-giving and hosting a spontaneous auction, which raised a generous contribution for the Lebone Centre.
A special thanks should be extended to Buster Brotherton (OK 2006) and Cookhouse Creamery for the generous donation of butter and cheese, which ensured that each and every prize winner was able to take home some of their delicious products to enjoy! Thank you for your ongoing support of the Kingswoodian Club.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day a success. We always appreciate the chance to connect with our extended Kingswood community in the Cathcart area – your continued support is truly valued.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
