The annual Gqeberha Branch Kingswood Golf Day took place at the Little Walmer Golf Club in Port Elizabeth on Friday, 22 August 2025, where around 60 golfers braved the blustery conditions to enjoy a day of camaraderie and competition.

True to tradition, the wind seemed determined to make its presence felt – just as it did last year – but thankfully, the rain stayed away, allowing for an enjoyable day on the course.

We were once again delighted by the support shown not only by Kingswoodians but also by alumni from a number of other Eastern Cape schools. This generous spirit of camaraderie was warmly appreciated, and we look forward to reciprocating in kind at their future events.

A special word of thanks must go to Hugh Oxenham, David Mason, Craig Scott and Jan Jan Eksteen, whose exceptional organisation ensured that the day ran seamlessly. The time, effort and attention to detail they put in behind the scenes made it possible for all participants to simply enjoy themselves – and for that we are deeply grateful. They also managed to raise R4500 in aid of Lebone which is a fantatsic gift towards this valuable NGO.

What truly sets the Kingswood Golf Day apart, however, is the family atmosphere that surrounds it. The presence of little children, parents, and even grandparents at the evening gathering perfectly captured what Kingswood is all about: community, belonging and togetherness across generations.

All in all, the 2025 Kingswood Golf Day was a resounding success. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and supported the event, and we look forward to building on this momentum to make next year’s occasion even bigger and better.
