Kingswood College Matrics Shine with Outstanding 2025 Results

Kingswood College is delighted to announce an exceptional set of National Senior Certificate results for the Class of 2025, achieving a 100% pass rate and an impressive 91% Bachelor’s Degree pass rate.

Leading the academic achievements is 2025 Dux Angus Brown, who attained a remarkable eight distinctions, including Further Studies Mathematics. He was joined by Aimee Newcombe, who also achieved eight distinctions.

Among the 90 matric pupils, academic excellence was widespread:

  • Two pupils achieved eight distinctions (Angus Brown and Aimee Newcombe), they both attained averages over 90% and were in the Top 1% nationally in subjects and top 5% in more than 6 subjects Nationally.
  • Five pupils achieved seven distinctions (Josie Field, Josh Loon, Nkiyasi Shordries, Katherine Hopes and Bronwyn Wilson)
  • Three pupils achieved six distinctions (Josie Opperman, Andrew Woods and Reece Coetzer)
  • We had 4 pupils in the top 1% in subjects, they were Andrew Woods, Bronwyn Wilson, Aimee Newcombe and Angus Brown.

Collectively, the Class of 2025 amassed an outstanding 179 distinctions, with 16 A-aggregates and 34 B-aggregates, reflecting both individual brilliance and consistent academic performance across the cohort.

Senior School Head: Academics, Ms Tracy van Molendorff, praised the group for their commitment and resilience:

Special recognition is extended to Angus Brown, Aimee Newcombe and Josie Field, who achieved outstanding averages above 90%, embodying the pursuit of excellence that lies at the heart of Kingswood College. The school also commends the many pupils who achieved four, five, six and seven distinctions, highlighting a culture of consistent effort and aspiration.

These results celebrate both individual accomplishment and collective success, underscoring what is possible when pupils, staff, and families work together in partnership.
