We are honoured to welcome Mrs. Nene Molefi as our speaker for the 2020 Neil Aggett Memorial Lecture, in what could be the year history is made: in 2019 the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) moved to reopen the 1983 inquest into Neil Aggett’s death. Through the inquest, South Africas are re-experiencing the price Neil paid for justice.

Time and date: 11h00, 12th March 2020, Kingswood Chapel

Every year Kingswood College hosts a memorial lecture in honour of Neil Aggett, a former pupil who paid the ultimate price during the anti-apartheid struggle for liberation. The lecture is a tribute to all those brave men and women who laid down their lives in the fight for human rights and social justice.

See “EXPLAINED: Who was Neil Aggett and why was he important?” published on NEWS24 on the 22nd of January 2020.

The lecture is free to attend but bookings are essential due to limited space.
