This weekend the Class of 1993 attended their 30th Reunion. It was a weekend filled with nostalgia, laughter and reconnecting!

The Class of 1993 arrived back at Kingswood on Friday the 28th of July for a much-anticipated weekend. Over 30 people including class members, families and friends joined the OK Club at the Kingswood Museum on Friday afternoon for registration and a cocktail event.

Stories were told and laughter was shared as the evening continued. From the museum the group made their way up to the Wyvern for war-cries and socialising ahead of the Graeme/Victoria Girls High School vs Kingswood derby day.

Saturday morning included a wonderful brunch in the museum and an official welcome from College Head, Leon Grove. Despite incredibly inclement weather, the group took part in a campus tour where they were able to enjoy all the changes that have taken place on campus since their 20-year reunion in 2013. The afternoon was spent enjoying all the sport taking place up at City Lord’s. The wonderful vibe up at the Wyvern made for a great afternoon.

The Class regrouped on Sunday afternoon for the final event of the weekend – The Chapel Anniversary Service. This poignant service marked the perfect ending to the weekend, as the chorus of “God be with you till we meet again” echoed through the Memorial Chapel.

A big thank you to Bronwyn van den Berg (OK 1993) for all her help with the organising of the reunion. Our thanks to each of every person who made the effort to be here. The weekend was certainly one to remember. We look forward to welcoming you back to Kingswood in the not-too-distant future.
