Kingswood is immensely proud of Dr Thapelo Teele (OK 2011) and Camilla James (OK 2018) who have recently graduated in the fields of Law and Applied Mathematics and English respectively.

Thapelo has “successfully completed his doctoral thesis and has been awarded a PhD in legal rhetoric studies“. Thapelo grew up between Lesotho and South Africa, and attended Kingswood College. After completing matric, he attended the University of Cape Town (UCT), where he began his studies with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). After graduating in 2014, Thapelo then entered a postgraduate LLB programme.
Despite plenty of challenges, Thapelo persisted and graduated in 2019 after attending summer school in Paris hosted by the University of Kent. He then began pursuing his Master’s degree, which soon turned into a PhD despite challenges posed by the pandemic. Thapelo graduated in August this year, and was identified at one of UCT’s inspirational students of 2023.
Camilla James (OK 2018)
Another Old Kingswoodian who has recently graduated with flying colours is Camilla James (OK 2018). Camilla graduated with distinction for her BSc (Applied Mathematics and English), followed by BSc Honours (Computer Science at Rhodes University.
She is now bound for France, where she has won a coveted Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to do her Masters in Marine Robotics through the University of Toulon (France) and Jaume | University (Spain).
Camilla has always loved the water and is excited to work in a field where she can apply her robotics skills working with Remote Underwater Vehicles and Automated Underwater Vehicles.
Well done Thapelo and Camilla. Kingswood is very proud of both. We cannot wait to see where both your journeys lead you, and we hope that you will be able to visit us soon.
