The OK Club held two well-attended events in the Western Cape over half term. It was wonderful to catch up with our Kingswood family in Cape Town, Stellenbosch and surrounding areas.
With around 800 members of the OK and Kingswoodian Club residing in the Western Cape, this branch is one of our biggest. As has become tradition, the OK Club usually holds a function in the first term in both Cape Town and Stellenbosch or Somerset West.Â
On Thursday 22 February over 80 Kingswoodians gathered at Foresters Arms (Forries) in Newlands, Cape Town. The evening was spent story-telling and reminiscing with old friends. Some added excitement to the evening came in the form of some lucky draw prizes, where the lucky winners walked away with some old school rugby jerseys.Â
On Friday, 23 February it was time for a luncheon at the beautiful Root 44 Market in Stellenbosch. Whilst this was a smaller function, there was once again great camaraderie among old as well as new friends. A delicious meal in the winelands was enjoyed by all.Â
The OK Club would like to extend their special thanks to Wendy Dold (OK 1980), who worked tirelessly to make this function happen.Â
Thank you to each and every one of you, who made the effort to join us for these functions. The OK Club values your support, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.Â
