Today for #MusicMonday we feature Victor, one of our youngest music pupils. He began piano lessons with Mrs Smith in May 2019, when he was in Grade 1. Here Victor is playing three pieces: “Giojoso” by Telemann, “Impertinence” by Handel and “Minuet in G” by Bach.

Now, more than ever, we realise that online teaching can never fully replace face-to-face interactions and that classrooms, although the way they operate may change in the future, can never be replaced by full-time online teaching.
Mrs Carissa Wilson, our Deputy Head in the Junior School shared a special message with our Junior pupils this morning and we would like to extend this message to our broader Kingswood community.
At Kingswood we believe that the core function of our junior school is to lay the foundations for learning and for life in general. Our smaller class sizes allow us to support our pupils on a one to one basis and provide us with the time to care and to get to know our pupils individually.
We have taken the advice and recommendation from ISASA to continue with e-learning over the time period that we would have been in session.
Our Grade 4s went on an adventurous “critter” walkabout 10km’s outside of Grahamstown to discover the creepy crawlies in our “backyard” this week.
Learning beyond the classroom…
