Now, more than ever, we realise that online teaching can never fully replace face-to-face interactions and that classrooms, although the way they operate may change in the future, can never be replaced by full-time online teaching.
Mrs Carissa Wilson, our Deputy Head in the Junior School shared a special message with our Junior pupils this morning and we would like to extend this message to our broader Kingswood community.
At Kingswood we believe that the core function of our junior school is to lay the foundations for learning and for life in general. Our smaller class sizes allow us to support our pupils on a one to one basis and provide us with the time to care and to get to know our pupils individually.
We have taken the advice and recommendation from ISASA to continue with e-learning over the time period that we would have been in session.
Our Grade 4s went on an adventurous “critter” walkabout 10km’s outside of Grahamstown to discover the creepy crawlies in our “backyard” this week.

This year we welcome Mr David Wright to our Kingswood family as Head of the Kingswood College Senior School.
On Sunday, the College gathered together in the Chapel to induct our new staff into our school. Our Bishop, Bishop Freemantle was in attendance to induct our two new Senior School Head’s into their positions.
We have received the results of the Afrikaans Conquesta examinations (Grade 5-7) written in September. This is a credible benchmarking exercise, which focuses on reading comprehension and language structures and use. A number of our pupils attained very good results.
