At our end of term Assembly yesterday afternoon we handed out our Sports Awards for the second term. Congratulations to all pupils who were awarded for their contributions to our winter sporting programme. Assemblies such as these give us the platform to acknowledge the efforts and passion that our pupils display in the sporting sphere.
Our U13A Junior Netball and Hockey girls recently went on a sports tour to George where they would play against Holy Cross Primary and Glenwood School.
Start off the Cricketing season with BANG! Kingswood will be hosting an U11 6-a-side Cricket Festival on Friday, 30 September.
Our Kingswood College Concert Band is going to be on the MOVE, soon! The Kingswood College Concert Band will be going on tour to Bloemfontein and Kimberley at the start of the August holidays. The Kingswood Memorial Chapel was opened in 1962 with over 2,000 people present. On Sunday we celebrated this milestone with a special service in the Chapel. There were also a number of reunion groups in attendance – 1960-62 and 1970-72.
