Rest in peace, Mr Gareth Shaw
Today, the Kingswood community bids farewell to a much loved Kingswoodian, Mr Gareth Barron Shaw (OK 1991) who died peacefully yesterday afternoon after a brave battle with cancer.
Honorary Old Kingswoodian award presented to Mr Mini Meyer Dial
This morning Mr Mini Meyer Dial was met with a standing ovation in the Memorial Chapel as he was presented with the prestigious Honorary Old Kingswoodian award after 18 years of loyal service to the Kingswood Community.
The Classes of 2003 and 2013 attend their K-Day Reunion
K-Day weekend meant that we were able to welcome back the classes of 2003 and 2013 for their 10 and 20 year reunions. Over 60 Old Kingswoodians joined in on the festivities – and were able to be a part of a weekend to remember!
Buster Brotherton (OK 2006) of Cookhouse Creamery awarded at SA Dairy Awards 2023
The annual South African Dairy Awards 2023 took place on Thursday, the 25th of May. Buster (OK 2006) of Cookhouse Creamery won a prestigious award after only five years in the cheese production industry.
Western Cape Kingswoodian Branch get together
The first Kingswoodian Club get-togethers of 2023 in the Western Cape took place last week. These included a luncheon in the winelands as well as a meet and greet at The Cape Town Sixes. Great fun was had by all.
Kingswood welcomes the Class of 1963 back onto campus
Last weekend, Kingswood celebrated the Class of 1963’s 60th reunion. The weekend included several highlights including a braai, a trip to Commem as well as a delicious dinner. It was a weekend to remember!
