Kingswood College is humbled and proud to announce the launch of our very first Legacy Scholarship, The Trevor Stewart Scholarship, for 2023. A fully funded scholarship for a child or grandchild of an Old Kingswoodian. This scholarship is named after its benefactor, Mr Trevor Stewart (OK 1963 Chubb).
The Kingswood College 1st XI took on the St Andrew’s College 1st XI last weekend in a nail-biting match.
The covid-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for the country and indeed the world, and the Kingswood College Matric class of 2020 must be congratulated on navigating this unchartered territory during their final academic year. Our class of 2020, gathered a total of 95 distinctions amongst themselves.
On Sunday evening we inducted held our Spirituality Team Members’ Induction Service in the Memorial Chapel. we were glad to finally induct and pray for those who serve in different ministries here at Kingswood.
And just like that, a new chapter begins for our new Kingswoodians. We are so grateful that the Covid-19 pandemic has still allowed us to celebrate and mark this momentous occasion in the lives of the families who have joined our school.
Along with the Cricket Clinic currently taking place at Kingswood, we are also hosting a three-day Water Polo Training Clinic. The purpose of this clinic is to help develop the talent and skill-set of the players taking part. It also further provides the participants in the clinic with an opportunity to meet and learn from other players and, in the process help to extend their own skill-set.
With three days of non-stop cricket and the opportunity to meet, train and learn from some of the best, the Kingswood College Cricket Clinic, which kicked off yesterday, is the perfect start to the upcoming cricket season.
On this first day of 2022, we wish each and every Kingswoodian, past, and present as well as our wider Kingswoodian family, what we hope will be a happy, fulfilling New Year.
The Neil & Faith Collett Cup was awarded at the Gr 7 leavers’ dinner held at the Wyvern Club last week. This trophy was donated by the late Neil (OK 1970) and Faith Collett
Mr Temba Bungane, a teacher assistant at Kingswood College was named earlier this year as the Assistant Coach for the Men’s SA U17 National Water Polo Team. Temba, along with the U17 South African Boys Water Polo team traveled recently to the Czech Republic to compete in the U17 EU Nations Water Polo Tournament. The team went on to win gold at the tournament!
