Kingswood Girls 1st XI hold steady against DSG

Last night the 1st XI hockey girls played a match against DSG. The girls went into the game with a positive mindset and determination to play their best. The first few minutes were played with vigour, getting into the opposing D a number of times.

Grade 7 Entrepreneurs decided to give back at the Moonlit Market held recently. The Grade 7s had the opportunity to become small business owners for the evening: producing and selling their products.

Kingswood 1st XV square off against St Andrew’s College

Kingswood College hosted St Andrew’s College in an enthralling encounter on Saturday. This tense derby was played out in tough greasy conditions ensuring that the score would remain close throughout. Kingswood College opened the score to take a 7-0 lead late into the first half after both teams kicked often in the wet.

On Friday night, the 1st XI hockey boys played a match against St Andrew’s College under our City Lords Lights.

With the Moonlit Market on the go and campus abuzz with supporters and cheering from the sidelines: the scene was set.

Hockey Teams Aiming High…

Both of our 1st XI Hockey teams got to travel to East London this past weekend to take part in Tony Godding Festival and the Greg Beling Festival (boys and girls respectively).

Kowie Dash Five-ers

At assembly yesterday on the 20th anniversary of reinstituton of the hike since 2005, an award was made to Kingswood pupil, Kirstin Armstrong who is it is the first Kingswood pupil to complete five hikes. One of our teachers, Mrs Serfontein has also completed her 5th Kowie Dash.

Kingswood 1st XV win against Queen’s College

Kingswood College 1st XV started the match with fantastic intent on Saturday on their first visit to the Queens College 22m area. A solid line out drive followed by a backline launch saw outside center Tadiwa Chikutiro score underneath the posts to take a 7-0 lead.
