On a quiet winter’s night and in the darkness, a lone bell rang out. Getting louder and louder with each ring, the bell signalled that all was not well. The first subtle smell of smoke became stronger and more powerful with each whiff, as it drifted off across the valley and over our town. The flames, once small and simmering, become more angry with each passing minute. School House was, burning. On the 25th anniversary of the fire, we remember this night.
Our BYs (Bridging Year pupils) recently completed an introductory Enneagram course with our Chaplain, Rev Tim. Rev Tim has not only been working with the Enneagram for over a decade but is also an internationally certified Enneagram trainer and coach.

Last Wednesday, our Junior School hosted our Term 2 Interhouse General Knowledge Quiz for Grade 6s and 7s.
Friday night saw our debaters compete in the second round of the Rhini Debate League.
The motions were focused on holding leaders accountable for their actions and our teams performed exceptionally well.
Kingswood Junior pupil, Kyle Heyns took part in the the Harare Swimming Championships in November and December last year. The results of records broken at the championships were recently released and we must congratulate Kyle who broke both the 50m and 100m backstroke records.

On the 14th and 15th of May, ten of our girls took part in the Eastern Cape Netball trials that were held at Hudson Park in East London. Of the ten, five girls were selected for Eastern Cape teams, and one for the Sarah Baartman district team.
