KC Women’s Month Series #10: As we end the series, we have the privilege of ending our series by profiling Ms Lerato Mbombiya (née Motale) who attended Kingswood College from 1991 to 1999.

Dr Lizle Oosthuizen is a doctor in reproductive medicine. After obtaining certificates in abdominal and gynaecological ultrasound, she returned to complete her specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Cape Town in 2015. Her interest in Reproductive Medicine and Endocrinology culminated in a Master’s degree focusing on the effects of lifestyle factors on male fertility, which won the prize for the best gynaecological research project in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

KC Women’s Month Series #9: Ms Fundiswa Zote is a formidable businesswoman who has worked in the Tourism and Travel industry as well as the Marketing space running her own consultancy business along with her late twin sister specialising in Event Management and Hospitality, Live Production, Public Relations and Corporate Social Investment Services. More recently she has taken over the 40-year old family-run business which operates in the Funeral and Financial services sphere. She serves as board member on a number of businesses and is currently a board member of NAFUICO (National Funeral Undertakers Investment Company) and she is also a current Kingswood College Council Member.

Women’s Month Series #7 – Dr Alet van der Westhuysen OK 2008

KC Women’s Month Series #7: Dr Alet van der Westhuysen is currently undertaking post-doctoral research at Emory University in the United States where her main research focus is the development of novel nucleoside-based therapeutics for COVID-19. Considering the tremendous impact that this pandemic is having on a global scale, she is hopeful that she will be able to contribute to meaningful and potentially ground-breaking science.

KC Women’s Month Series #6 Ms Luntu Ntloko (OK 1993). Luntu is a Sports Marketing Specialist with over 10 years of experience and an accomplished sportswoman.
She represented South Africa in Hockey at the highest level during the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, becoming the first black woman to play field hockey at this level for South Africa.
