Congratulations to Thembi Mangwana (OK ’17) who has been selected to play for Tel Aviv Heat, Israel’s First Professional Rugby team. This year the Tel Aviv Heat will take part in the inaugural season of Rugby Europe Super Cup.
One person who is almost synonymous with The Wyvern itself, is Ms Cornelia Sandi. 35 years ago, in 1986, Ms Sandi began her Kingswood journey when she was hired by Mr and Mrs Tommy and Kay Hartzenberg, who, at the time were the managers of The Wyvern. From the very beginning, Ms Sandi began to weave herself into the lives and fabric of the Kingswood family.
At Kingswood, we are so fortunate to be supported by a talented and highly-qualified community and this week, we were reminded of that.

Most people don’t know, but to retain its integrity, a hockey asto needs to be resurfaced every 10 – 12 years. The City Lords Astroturf (officially opened in 2007) was already due, but Covid meant some delays to the process.

The annual Legends Fund Golf Day took place at the picturesque Belmont Golf Club on Friday 11 June 2021. The clear skies and warm winter sunshine set the scene for a great day of golf that was enjoyed by about 80 golfers.
On a quiet winter’s night and in the darkness, a lone bell rang out. Getting louder and louder with each ring, the bell signalled that all was not well. The first subtle smell of smoke became stronger and more powerful with each whiff, as it drifted off across the valley and over our town. The flames, once small and simmering, become more angry with each passing minute. School House was, burning. On the 25th anniversary of the fire, we remember this night.
