From Oxford to Amazon, and all during Covid – we recently caught up with Diana Schwedhelm (OK 2009) who just attended her graduation ceremony at the University of Oxford. Turns out, Diana completed her MBA (with Distinction we might add) from Oxford University at the end of 2020 and due to Covid restrictions, they delayed the graduation ceremony until this year.
In a heart-warming display of unity and remembrance, the class of 1982 celebrated their 40th Reunion in March 2022 by undertaking a fundraising effort that culminated in the establishment of the Garden of Remembrance outside Kingswood’s Memorial Chapel.
Earlier this week we published a post about Old Kingswoodian Duncan Krige’s (2019) participation in this prestigious event as a team member of the defending champions, Lindenwood University. Well little did we know that another two OKs would also participate with great success in this tournament.

After an absence of two years due to covid College Head Leon Grové and Carey Hobson travelled north on 30 March 2022 to renew our bond with the Kingswood family in Lusaka. A KIngswoodian Club function was held at the Brewery on the Ciêla Resort and Spa and what a lovely occasion this was. About 50 Kingswoodians attended and the excitement of being united as Kingswoodians was palpable.
This morning our annual Uyinene Mrwetyana Commemorative Lecture, in partnership with Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation-UMF took place in our Memorial Chapel.
